The free, open-source alternative to Jira, Asana and Trello. AI agents work on your tasks – with your own models, inside your own network. A human approves every risky step.
The board: tasks move from Backlog through Running to Done – worked on by people and agents.
Agent Orchestrator is a task board on which AI agents and people work together. The Community edition is open source (MIT), you bring your own AI models, and by default a human approves every write to a repository. Built and operated in Germany, legally owned by Simplifier AG.

If you run a ticketing system today, you pay per head, maintain tickets by hand and keep your data with vendors you have little influence over. It doesn't have to be that way.
Atlassian is raising prices by roughly 7 % as of 13 Oct 2026, and monday.com raised them by 18 % in February 2026. Our Community Edition is free, and hosted operation costs less than half of Jira Standard, Asana Starter or monday Standard.
Built and operated in Germany. You bring your own AI models, and the agent daemon runs inside your network – using only the models you approve.
Assign a task to an agent or an agent team. The result comes back with a full log – and is only adopted after a human approves it.
The difference from classic project management: the board isn't just a filing cabinet – it's where the work actually happens.
Title, goal, acceptance criteria, due date, labels, dependencies – just as you know it.
An agent works alone, or a squad with a leader and members divides the work among themselves.
Write access to a repository is presented as a change and only applied after your approval.
History, files and result stay attached to the task – traceable instead of a black box.

Your agents – with role, skills and status.

The approval gate: you see the change before it is applied.
We don't sell AI and we don't forward your data to any third-party model. The workspace runs with us, the execution runs with you.
Note: which models are used, and where the daemon sends their requests, is your decision. A cloud model of your choice remains a cloud model – but the decision is yours, not ours.
An agent doesn't write to your repository on its own. The change is presented for review. Anyone who wants to relax that does so deliberately, per project.
The Community Edition's source code is MIT-licensed. Your security team can read exactly what happens.

The desktop client pairs your own computer with Agent Orchestrator as a device. An agent can then use it – but only once three hurdles are cleared. Nothing happens without your consent.
Every capability is denied by default. An administrator allows it per workspace or per agent – or requires a confirmation.
If the policy requires confirmation, it appears as a card in the task's chat: before every call, or once per run.
The client also asks you at your computer. Mouse and keyboard control is never granted permanently, and “Pause agent access” blocks everything at once.
Speech recognition runs on the device by default. The local check also happens inside the client – a compromised server cannot bypass it.
The AO Registry is a catalogue of ready-made building blocks for Agent Orchestrator: agents, skills, MCP definitions and bundles (whole teams). You can read every entry before you install anything – and your instance only fetches what you explicitly connect.
Every version is immutable and signed with an Ed25519 key. Your instance verifies the signature with the public key you configure and refuses a list that is older, or signed by an unknown key.
Only a workspace administrator can install. An installed agent starts disabled and without a runtime – you enable it and bind it to your own runtime.
The public catalogue shows each entry's instructions, capabilities, risk level, dependencies and checksum – in German and English.
An entry's trust level is written in the entry itself and checked when it is merged – it is not a certification.
List prices per user per month, billed annually, in US dollars, excluding taxes. As of 14 Oct 2026.

Prices and feature sets of the vendors may change at any time and have been compiled from their public pricing pages, supplemented by third-party overviews, as of the date stated. Brand names belong to their owners. A “—” means: we make no statement. Found a mistake? Tell us and we'll correct it right away.
We don't want to be a Jira clone – but if you're coming from Jira, you'll probably still miss a few things today. Better you know up front:
We deliberately give no dates until there are dates.
Because you bring your own AI models, we have no token costs. You pay for the workspace, not for credits.

The Community Edition is open source under the MIT license and free of charge. You run it yourself – with Docker. Single sign-on, audit log and usage overview belong to the hosted Business edition, not to the Community Edition.
Request Community EditionYes: the Community Edition is open source under the MIT license and costs nothing. Only hosted operation by us (from €4 per user per month) and the Business feature set are paid.
The ones you approve. The daemon runs inside your network and talks to the models your organization allows – locally hosted ones as well as models from your provider. We provide no models and charge nothing for AI usage.
With the hosted version, tasks, board and logs live on servers in Nuremberg (Hetzner, Germany). Agent execution and requests to AI models run through the daemon inside your network. If you self-host, you keep everything.
Today: sprints/Scrum, Gantt, time tracking and custom fields (in development), plus an import from Jira (planned). In return you get agents that execute tasks. If you need Scrum processes one-to-one, stay with Jira until those features arrive.
