For teams where people and agents work side by side

The Buzz alternative
from Germany.

Buzz from Block is an open-source, Slack-like workspace for people and AI agents. Agent Orchestrator follows a different principle: a task board on which agents work – with human approval, your own models and operations in Germany.

Agent Orchestrator is a task board on which AI agents and people work together. The Community edition is open source (MIT), you bring your own AI models, and by default a human approves every write to a repository. Built and operated in Germany, legally owned by Simplifier AG.

What is Buzz?

  • An open-source, self-hostable workspace from Block, released on 21 July 2026.
  • People and AI agents work in the same channels; agents have their own cryptographic identity and defined permissions.
  • Messages, patches, reviews and approvals are stored as signed events on a relay you run yourself.
  • Model-agnostic, with integrations for goose and Codex, among others.
  • License: Apache 2.0. According to its README, “not finished”.

⚠ When you should stay with Buzz

  • You mainly want a chat workspace to replace Slack and GitHub
  • You value cryptographically signed events and a self-run, decentralized relay
  • You want to bring agents in through channels and voice rooms rather than a task board

If your team wants to plan, assign and approve work – with due dates, dependencies and an approval gate – Agent Orchestrator fits better. Tell us what you need: Early Access with a wish list.
